View the twenty-first installment of the Building Health Equity webinar series, Advancing Health Equity in Home Health Care hosted by the Institute for Public Health Practice, Research and Policy at the University of Iowa College of Public Health, in partnership with the Midwestern Public Health Training Center, and the University of Iowa Prevention Research Center for Rural Health.We featured  Annette Lee, CEO and Founder of Provider Insights, Inc.; Stefanie Wagaman, Director at the Cedar County Public Health; and Sara Krieger, Chief Executive Officer at Iowa City Hospice and Visiting Nurses Association.

We discussed the most pressing concerns and issues related to home health care in Iowa, the communities most impacted by these challenges, the resources and supports available for those in need of home health care services, as well as strategies to create an equitable and supportive environment for all within the community. 

Objectives: 

  1. Discuss the most pressing concerns and issues related to home health care through a health equity lens. 
  1. Address specific populations that are most impacted by home health care challenges (e.g., the elderly, disabled, rural communities). 
  1. Explore potential partnerships or strategies to improve home health care services and access among diverse population groups.
