Mary Kosobucki

Outreach and Communications Coordinator

Mary Kosobucki is the outreach and communications coordinator for the Institute for Public Health Practice, Research, and Policy in the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa. She is also the regional coordinator and the outreach and communications coordinator for the HRSA-funded Region 7 Midwestern Public Health Training Center (MPHTC), which includes the states of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.

She is responsible for all communications aspects, including the MPHTC website, monthly MPHTC newsletters, and the development and distribution of materials to promote training programs. She is also actively involved as a facilitator for the Building Health Equity Training Program, which includes discussing health equity with health department employees across the state. Her coordination responsibilities include overseeing the MPHTC Field Placement Program for students, chairing the Public Health Training Center Network (PHTCN) Communications Group, and serving alongside the other PHTCN Regional Coordinators in all activities that impact the ten regional Public Health Training Centers.

Mary earned a BA from the University of Michigan and an MA and MBA from the University of Iowa.
