This presentation will discuss the rational for lung cancer screening as well as the potential benefits and harms. Shared decision making will be described and tools provided. In addition, tools to create a lung cancer screening program or to enhance an existing program will be provided. Resources to support education and peer learning for essential personnel in the screening process will be examined.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, cancer screening rates declined leading to delayed diagnosis and treatment of the disease. This presentation will describe the impact of COVID-19 on screening and mortality rates. Return to screening resources will be shared and strategies to increase screening uptake in local communities will be discussed.
