Farming and Rural Health Equity

Join the Institute for Public Health Practice, Research, and Policy at the University of Iowa College of Public Health, in partnership with the Midwestern Public Health Training Center and the University of Iowa Prevention Research Center for Rural Health, for the twenty-second installment of the Building Health Equity webinar series: “Farming and Rural Health Equity.” 

We will discuss the most pressing concerns and challenges related to health equity in farming, focusing on the communities most impacted, available resources, and support for rural populations, as well as strategies to create equitable, supportive environments for everyone.

Objectives: 

  1. Discuss the key issues related to farming and rural communities through a health equity lens.
  1. Identify populations within farming communities most impacted by these issues.
  1. Explore potential partnerships and strategies to improve health equity resources and access for farming and rural communities.
