View the seventh installment of the Building Health Equity webinar series: Disability Justice and Health Equity Practice. We featured Anne Crotty and Mike Hoenig from the University of Iowa Center for Disabilities and Development. This was a live session on November 9, 2022.

We discussed current healthcare and public health issues affecting individuals with disabilities, the resources already available to help achieve equitable environments for this population, and promising strategies that have been implemented to promote health equity and justice for those with disabilities.

Objectives:

1. Discuss the current issues and barriers affecting individuals with disabilities related to healthcare and public health access  

2. Learn about the resources and support options available for this population that can help to achieve equitable and supportive environments for individuals with disabilities 

3. Explore strategies and programs that have been implemented to promote equity and justice for individuals with disabilities
