View the thirteenth installment of the Building Health Equity webinar series, Housing as a Human Right. We featured Christine Hayes, Development Director for Shelter House-Iowa City, and Lisa Houser, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Iowa. This was a live session on May 10, 2023.
We discussed current issues related to housing and their connection to public health and health equity, the influence of legislation and policies on these issues, and approaches health departments can take to promote safe, reliable housing for all. The session included open conversation with attendees.
