View our first installment of the Building Health Equity Webinar series, COVID-19 and Health Equity: Lessons Learned and Moving Forward. This webinar featured Dr. Martha Carvour from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and Mazahir Salih from the Center for Worker Justice of Eastern Iowa, moderated by Kaci Ginn, Project Coordinator at the Institute for Public Health Practice and previous local health department Preparedness Specialist. This was a live session on May 11, 2022.

We discussed the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, equity issues that have arisen from it, and how health departments can have a role in reaching equity moving forward. The session included open conversation with attendees.
