Join the Institute for Public Health Practice, Research, and Policy at the University of Iowa College of Public Health, in partnership with the Midwestern Public Health Training Center and the University of Iowa Prevention Research Center for Rural Health, for the twenty-fourth installment of the Building Health Equity webinar series: “Strengthening Health Equity through Community Health Workers.”
We will discuss the most pressing concerns and challenges related to access and quality of care from a health equity lens and how Community Health Workers (CHWs) can help alleviate some of these challenges, focusing on the communities most impacted, available resources, and strategies to create a supportive and equitable environment for CHWs and the populations they serve.
Objectives:
- Discuss key issues related to health equity through the lens of CHWs
- Identify populations most impacted by health disparities and the role of CHWs in addressing these challenges.
- Explore potential partnerships and strategies to improve support systems for CHWs, that can advance health equity across communities.
Information on speakers will be available soon.
This project is funded by the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.
