Existing disparities in health care and other health predictors have led to the Latinx community having an increased risk of contracting COVID-19, as well as an increased vulnerability to the negative social and economic impacts from the pandemic. Luckily, the Latinx Advocacy Team and Interdisciplinary Network for COVID-19 (LATIN-19), a coalition created to connect Latinx communities with COVID resources, has started to bridge the health equity gap in Latinx populations. Learn more about the Latinx community’s experiences throughout the pandemic, as well as LATIN-19’s three key strategies for creating policies embedded with health equity principles to move us closer to an equitable healthcare system.
