Sofie Dollison-McGill
Project Coordinator
Sofie Dollison, MPH, CHES, is a Project Coordinator at the Institute for Public Health Practice, Research and Policy at the University of Iowa. She currently works on multiple projects including the implementation of a childhood health education program, conducting a program evaluation for a statewide lead-in-water testing program, coordinating the Communicating Data training series for public health professionals across Iowa, and assisting in the organization of and case writing for the IPHPRP Global Health Case Competition.
In previous projects, Sofie developed five health education videos and posters to increase awareness regarding respiratory infection prevention for use in waiting rooms across Iowa.
She holds an MPH with a concentration in Community and Behavioral Health from the University of Iowa, is a Certified Health Education Specialist, and received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Iowa with additional training in nonprofit management.
In her role, Sofie consistently focuses on student engagement and mentorship, volunteer management, health education material development and evaluation, data collection and analysis, program evaluation, and quality improvement.
