Tabletop Exercise Events
These 4-hour interactive discussion-based exercises will address how hospitals and long-term care facilities identify and respond to multidrug-resistant organism (MDRO) threats. These exercises will meet the CMS emergency preparedness exercise requirements.
The organism of focus for hospitals and long-term acute care facilities will be Candida auris (C. auris) and the organism of focus for long-term care facilities will be Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB).
All tabletop exercises have been scheduled and are listed below.

This in-person tabletop exercise for those that work in or with hospitals will take place at the Clarke County Fairgrounds in Osceola, Iowa. The organism of focus will be Candida auris (C. auris). Individuals that should attend include those who are focused on: infection prevention and control, emergency preparedness, public health, medical/physician administration, emergency management agency, nursing administration, clinical support, administration, clinical laboratory, housekeeping, emergency medical services, etc.
